About The Artist
Matt Holmes is a husband, father, small business owner, musician and artist living in Charleston, SC. High school art classes sparked a creative fire, but the journey led to the coast and a business degree from The Citadel. When Covid wreaked havoc on the music scene, Matt began taking to art as an outlet. Much like music, Matt thinks every painting is like a song. The beauty of Charleston, which the family has called home for over 10 years, became a constant source of inspiration, turning every landscape into a potential painting. Recently, the joy of painting was rediscovered as a way to relax and reconnect with his artistic side. As a member of the Charleston Artist Guild, Matt looks forward to creating new paintings.
